Swimney Cheep (Rugby area)

Options
Hi all,

I'm looking for a chimney sweep in the Rugby area - does anybody have a 'friend that has a friend' or similar?

I tried phoning the only number I could find in the phone book to no avail.

I guess there isn't a huge market for this any more :(

Any tips on DIY would also be appreciated.

Cheers,
Will.

Before you look at the DIY option, or friend of a friend for that matter, check your house insurance. It is often specified that you have to use a certified sweep now, and get the certificate to prove it. If you don't, you may not be covered if you have a chimney fire.

Having said that, it does seem to be getting harder and harder to find a sweep now. We had to wait over a month for and appointment.
When I had my loft converted back into a loft, the neighbours came around and scoffed, and called me retro.
  • Thanks, pboae - I will double check that.

    Will.
