Receiving payments on ebay: do I need to provide a paypal address or is it done through ebay

I've just started listing a few things on ebay after a hiatus of several years and am slightly unclear about the payments side; namely, as per my title, do all payments go through ebay so I don't need to provide the seller with my details, as ebay will just pass on the payment straight to my bank account?
I think the answer is yes, but if someone could confirm I'd be grateful as I've just sold something!

It’s all done via managed payments now. Your sales less any fees will show in your pending balance and that is usually paid out every Tuesday to your bank account, although you can take it out more often if you want.
However you do need to supply and confirm your bank details with eBay before your money can be paid out, there should be a prompt somewhere when you try and sell.Buyers can then pay using whatever method they want , PayPal, bank card etc and you just see it come through managed payments . You can’t even tell how they paid.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. PayPal isn't no longer used for payments you can purchase items but you have to confirm your bank details including ID it's fairly easy but surprised you have listings activated until your payment details are confirmed I would defer payments for a month until you get it being paid out correctly. They'll just hold payment if they don't get your details. It's also an issue when your card expires to update expiry etc.1

I confirmed my payment details, though I'm not sure that my ebay name matches my bank account sufficiently. However, we will see. My first sale is only £5 plus p&p so not too serious if I don't get it straight away!

you may not get it straight away anyway - it used to be that eBay held back payments for newbies for a period of time to make sure there was no scamming involved. not sure if it is through these days1

Interesting you mention payments received every Tuesday mine come the next working day regardless. If I list things to finish on Sunday, anybody who pays same day I get the funds Monday, if someone doesn’t pay till Monday, funds arrive Tuesday etcsoolin said:It’s all done via managed payments now. I haven't opted to take my money out more frequently, I like to see the balance build up in my account and then let ebay pay me out every Tuesday. It feels like every Tuesday I get a pay day from all my accounts!RedImp_2 said:

Just a quick update, I've received my first payment into my bank account so all is good. Ebay put two microtransactions (a few pence each) in a few days ago, I had to confirm the amounts to prove that my account details were correct.
