This is definitely your issue. A lot of LL's will refuse DSS tenants. If you are lucky enough to find one they may also ask for a guarantor.CopyrightIssues said:as soon as they hear I am on UC and DLA and a carer, it does not matter that I have enough coming in and can prove it.0 -
Your best bet is Openrent as letting agents will always follow their set criteria, simply because that's what the landlord has tasked them with doing and it also makes their life easier. If you're able to do a viewing and meet the landlord that's more likely to sway them.
On a separate note, as you're considered higher risk (rightfully or wrongfully) when they remove section 21 I wonder how people with your circumstances will be able to get private rental as landlords will have to be even more selective than they are today...0
