Evening all,
Just got a quote through for 2 new sockets to be placed in the garden next to each other for the hot tub and other bits.
No space left on the consumer unit in the garage, so quote includes replacing this.
Just after your thoughts!
A new 20a radial circuit will be installed to feed 2 x new IP rated
double sockets, to be located in the agreed location by the hot tub. To
also supply and install a new 18 th edition garage fuse board with RCBO
fuses for the existing 2 circuits and the new one for the sockets. I have
also allowed for a slightly bigger fuse board for any future project you
may have. - £690

haven't had a quote but the leccy guy who did some other work for us was sucking his teeth and saying what a hazard the hot tub set up was and how we were all going to die a horrible death. I'd expect him to do a proper job with setting things up to the board will be this side of £1k. Nothing done yet though.
