Cazoo won't honour my 12 month warranty. Can I do anything?
I purchased a car with Cazoo in January. There were immediate issues with the car and eventually they fixed the faults and offered, in writing, on numerous occasions an extra 12 months warranty on the car as compensation. This was accepted by us in witting. We hadn't heard anything back from them so chased and received an email from them today. It stated that their business model had recently changed from car sales to online marketplace and they were no longer offering us a 12 month warranty extension. Instead we have been offered just £100. If this warranty was offered and accepted in writing do we have any legal reply to them? I know the company are in terrible financial trouble and will probably go bust, which they thoroughly deserve. Appalling company.

I would Take the £100.
Warranty may not cover everything you hope, & depending on who it is with maybe worthless if they go under.Life in the slow lane0 -

Bad companies should not continue to exist just so people get to keep the same job. The whole point of the market system is good companies thrive and bad companies die, the resources and demand then redistributes to good companies and new start-ups. Part of the problem with the 2007/2008 financial crisis was that bad companies were kept alive on life support (ultra cheap business finance, factoring etc.) rather than letting them die, which is then followed by start-ups and business growth. People will find new jobs, that is what they do.sheslookinhot said:

many decent companies fail and plenty of bad businesses thrive. Shows the power of things like marketing.0

Cazoo maintenance side has effectively ceased in business, so there is no business to provide the warranty,
The same as would have happened if you had bought from a garage that later ceased trading.
They are now solely a marketing business, so there will no workforce to carry out repairs, unless you want a salesman to do it.
