Uber One Membership - Auto Annual Charge £59.99

Hello,
Can you please advise. I signed up for the uber one membership trial and thought I cancelled it in time. However, I have just discovered they charge me an annual fee for the uber one membership of £59.99. Can I get a refund as I did not willingly apply for this?

Did you cancel the subscription when (or before) the trial period had expired?  If not them I'm afraid you're unlikely to be eligible for a refund.  If you did cancel in time and can prove it, then raise a complaint with them.

When you agreed to the free trial it was on the condition that it would auto-renew to an annual membership if not canceled in time and so saying "I didnt willingly apply for this" isn't true. 

Do you have the cancellation email from them? If so then it's an easy charge to challenge. If you dont then it's most likely that whilst you thought you cancelled it you didnt and hence the charge is accurate. 

Have you spoken to Uber yet?

Thank you for your reply. I managed to speak to Uber Eats customer service and they issued me a full refund. Thanks again.
