Yesterday was such a lovely bright and warm day, today is the opposite. I visited my friend after shopping in Oban as I wanted a few things from Tesco and took away soft plastics too. My new bras arrived so I've (reluctantly) binned my oldest one. It's years and years old, looking quite disgraceful, but it's so comfortable. It not possible to get the same type anymore and ones I've bought over the past couple of years have been horrible to wear. Worst hate is the 'lace' edgings which really irritates my skin. The eclipse wasn't visible from here plus we had too much cloud. Perhaps next time. As for today, I have rubbish to take away and crockery to wrap. Now it's all out on the kitchen worktop I began to think about keeping it before giving myself a mental slap. 😂
I hope that everyone is doing well, enjoying retirement, getting better from injuries, getting stuck into the garden or planning or building or just plain slothing.12 -
Morning all and thanks Gers for the start
Saw some fantastic eclipse pictures from my youngest goddaughter- she lives in USA and, at just short of her 19th birthday, has recently qualified as a commercial pilot and flew to another state to get a good viewing.Back to reality though, it’s raining AGAIN!In work all day and have to drop off the campervan for a new reversing camera so will get wet on the walk into work no doubt.Hoping to have time this evening for some painting, of the watercolour variety…….or some sewing.Enjoy your Tuesday - best wishes for all those feeling unwell

Morning all
Back to dull and cold here ☹️ Although they did say it will brighten up later,I have two people coming today and they have requested a walk on the beach and a cup of something and maybe a small cake in the cafe, it sounds like a perfect day to me so I am happy ! Poor Rob is still poorly his mum thinks he might have norovirus as it’s been going on for over a week now I’ve told her to get him to the Dr if no improvement today, I am not sure if I will have him tomorrow or not will wait and see but I did tell her I can’t have him back till he was 100% clear.
Dinner tonight is a pork snitzel ( not sure about the spelling) with a few chips and peas, dd is off today so she may cook. Washing is up to date but I’m sure there will somehow be loads to do tomorrow.
Gers since I had my mastectomy and new smaller boobs I rarely wear a bra at all, I find most of them uncomfortable and I am small enough now to get away without one, I may need one in the summer for white t-shirts as they can be more revealing but for now I am happy to go without 😬
Have good days all and take care xx

@Ruby - I don't have small boobs so need some support, but not scaffolding! Yes, white T-shirts are very revealing.I've been out to the car and cleared out the little storage box between the two front seats. Two old pairs of specs removed and an assorted pile of stuff just dumped into it. Now it's got a Boost, a chunky Kit-Kat, wet wipes, hankies, hand gel, a wee notebook and pen and two medical foil blankets. Feeling a little bit virtuous again.9

Morning All
Grey and miserable this morning, such a change to yesterday. At least there's no wind so the rain is falling straight down for a change!
Visited the allotment yesterday and dug over the beds. Planted about 90 onions that I had started off in the greenhouse - backbreaking but at least it's done, glad I didn't water them in or they would be floating away! Once home I sowed quite a few seeds and potted on the tomatoes, I've brought some inside but the rest will have to take their changes in the greenhouse - they're covered with fleece so will go out and check once I'm dressed.
I'm going to the other side of Glasgow this morning to retrieve some things from DD's flat that we used to make it look better, it will only be a couple of weeks before it all has to be cleared. I'll bring all the bedding and rugs home but not much will fit in my wee car.
Have a good day Ruby, hope Rob's Mum takes him to the GP, he seems to have quite a few illnesses.
Enjoy your meet up with your DS Izzy.
I don't like getting new bras either Gers, love the old comfy ones.
Hope you all have a good day, take care. XX10 -
Morning all. Raining here!
Had a very satisfying morning's shopping yesterday, in that I managed to buy a birthday card for a friend, some vests and a toy for DGS, a Library book for me and a new tunic style top, also for me. I find it so hard to get clothes that suit me and I did umm and arrr over this one before deciding to buy it, even though it was in the John Lewis sale.
Whilst I was out I also had a message from a friend offering me a room in her holiday accommodation for this weekend, as someone has pulled out, so that was gratefully accepted.
Today DD is bringing the grandchildren over so it will be all hands to the deck
Have a good day everyone.10 -

Morning folks and thanks GERS. At the moment all is calm and dry out there but the strong winds and heavy rain are due back late morning says the local weather man. Yesterday he said he had been talking to an expert about this neverending rain and he said this will now be the new normal weather for us thanks to global warming!!
I've just been doing the messy job of colouring my hair. I swear those white roots appear overnight, Anyway that's that job done for another 5 or 6 weeks.
I had a text earlier from DGD2 asking if they could both come after school and stay for tea. And no need to dash off after as neither had dance tonight for a change. Hmm I wonder what they will want for tea!!
No lunch with DF today as she is now fostering another little dog with a view to adoption and doesn't want to leave her until she has settled in. I hope this time there is a happier ending than last time when the poor little dog had to be put to sleep thanks to a previously undiagnosed health problem.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, getting better, sad or lonely. Take care all and stay safe xx

Morning! Well that weather took a turn for the worse today didn't it? No gardening for me today. I spectacularly failed to do anything on my list yesterday, but I did scrub the kitchen floor , debone a lot of chicken thighs, make stock and do some gardening instead. Let's see if I can keep to the plan today, although I do have to go out and get myself some thrush cream. It's a bit hard to scratch when it itches there, people seem offended if you just keep grating at your crotch...tmi? but it is so very very annoying. I do have quite a few Boot points to spend though and if I go there, I can also go and look in a massive charity shop, maybe take some stuff to them too. Win win...Gers, good luck with the bras. I'm not sure who designs these things, I doubt it's women, I could never find a good one until I went and got fitted at an underwear shop. Made a massive difference. I do not recommend M&S for a fitting though at all at all. Mabe we should put our heads together to make a 21st century one... Between us al, we'd probably get a marvel of engineering. Allie, very well done to your niece! Izzy, wnjoy your mini family reunion! Ruby, hope your day is lovely and your weather gets better for your walk. Coxy, hope your walk isn't wild and woolly today! WL, how nice of them, enjoy! TA, I sense a bolognese bake in your future Take care all, including anyone not currently present for whatever reasonShampoo? No thanks, I'll have real poo...9
