Polaroid tv wont come on.

Hello. can anyone help me.  I have a polaroid 32" tv which i have had for 3 years.  This morning it would not come on.  I check the power lead and the plug fuse with a multimeter and changed the remote batteries. I have had the back off the tv and examined the two electronic boards. One board as seen on the attachment is the main one.  The other is a small board for the standby sensor.   I have a multimeter and a continuity checker.  Is there a way of finding out which board may be faulty and then replace it.  The tv model is P32RDP0119U.  Thank you for your help,

70 quid tv second hand on ebay. probably cheaper than buying a new board and taking the risk

What happens when you press the control button on the TV, as described in page 5 of the manual?

I doubt you could buy a control board for an own brand telly and as noted you would be guessing and part swapping

Have you checked for mains voltage and then dc voltage before and after the step down? 

Unless you have the means to test electronic components then you are guessing what's failed

Have you checked the remote control is outputting infrared by pointing it at your phones camera?
