UC Savings Disregard - Cost of Living Payments

If people were paid all the cost of living payments and if they are disregarded forever then does this mean the savings limit before any duductions for that person is increased to £7300 rather than the normal £6000 under universal credit?

It all depends upon whether you've maintained a balance higher than whatever payments you have received

If you have then it's impossible to separate cost of living payments from your other capital so yes, total disregard is £6000 plus these payments.

What you can't do is replenish the cost of living payments once spent. For example, after receiving the payments you spent money that reduced your capital to say £500. The total disregard would then be £6000 + £500.

In all circumstances capital in excess of £6000 should be declared, a decision maker should be the one who decides on disregarding cost of living payments.

A couple more question on UC

can someone claim both carers allowance and carers credit at the same time?
I know the total carers allowance gets reduced £for£

when doing managed migration does universal credit pay for more than 2 children or is it limited to the 2?

Do you mean the carer element of UC?  If so then yes, the Carers Allowance will be deducted in full from UC.

(Carers' credit is NI credits for people providing 20+hrs of care but don't qualify for Carers Allowance.)

How many are currently eligible on tax credits?

The 2 child limit only applies to children born after April 2017. The same applies to Tax credits. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/help/exemptions_to_2_child_limit#:~:text=Support%20provided%20through%20Child%20Tax,the%20end%20of%20the%20guide).

First off 4 kids.  Raising two was bad enough, but four...I doft my cap to you.

As KaMelo has stated any capital above £6K needs to be declared and although you have £7.3K (in theory) you can expect no action if the £1.3K is due to the COL payments.
