Tree Removal

Hi everyone , I too have a problem with Eucalyptus tree , high winds on Friday 23rd August this year "2024" blew down one half of the twin tree leaving one tree still standing , I paid a total of £1680 to cut remaining tree down and clear site.
I now that I shouldn't have paid them up-front but being 84 and the neighbours getting on to me about moving debris of their gardens, I did it for quickness .workmen cut up the felled tree over 3/4 days and never came back, leaving me with an unsafe tree .
Council said they cant help.
