errr, possibly! I could be massively overthinking this. Do you have a link to where I can make ad-hoc personal tax payments? I can't find anything particularly obvious or relevant.

It looks like online payment of a Simple Assessment bill that old (in tax year terms) isn't possible.
If you owe tax from before 6 April 2022 you cannot see and pay tax using your Personal Tax Account.
