In my personal online HRMC account I received the message below on the 1st February this year stating that I owe some tax for the year 2020/21. I accept that I owe this money (for untaxed interest) but cannot figure out how to pay it. If at all relevant, I did not fill in a self assessment form for this tax year.

I have been waiting for a further message or letter through the post since it says "We will contact you soon to tell you ways you can pay what you owe" but it has now been over 2 months and I've heard nothing.

I have also received a "Simple Assessment tax calculation for the year 6 April 2019 to 5 April 2020" which had a Charge Reference of format XN00123456789 and was able to pay that here.

In summary, what is the simplest, quickest and most reliable way I can pay this bill? Online preferably, without needing to send a cheque and explaining covering letter through the post. It does not appear to be a Simple Assessment tax bill and there is no payment reference.
