I recently closed my company with £600 in the account. I was completely shocked to discover that the crown/treasury just took this money out of my business account and closed the bank account.
There should be some kind of warning or communication to tell you they are going to do this.

Before closing a company you really need to bring in all assets, pay off all debts and then pay out any shareholders so there is no money left ...
Companies house do say that when you dissolve a company you will lose access to company bank accounts.
You can apply to have the company restored but it'll cost you £100
