Hi I stopped self employment on the 5th Dec 2023 (HMRC has been informed)
I normally put the 5th April date for when your books or account is made up to.
Do I need to change this to the 5th Dec?

You do. MAKE SURE that you enter the same date in the online equivalent of box 6 on the paper version below.

If you haven't entered a date that you stopped self-employment then it won't be your final return.0

Sorry to come back on this but I forgot to say I'm employed and self employed.
Does that make a difference on the dates?0 -
No - you ceased self-employment on 5th December. Not sure how that could be relevant to your employment.guitarman_555 said:Sorry to come back on this but I forgot to say I'm employed and self employed.

Thanks Ferro I thought that was the case (not relevant to employment) but just wanted to make sure Thanks
