Morning all; dull but dry here so far.
We had a bit of a sorting out day yesterday and brought some younger type toys out of the loft for DGS2 to play with. When the sun did venture out I noticed how bad the windows were inside so must set to and clean those sometime!
This morning I'm off to MK as I have a cheque to pay in from the DVLA for my unused car tax.
Hope everyone has a good day.10 -
Morning all
Its dry here for once but they are saying more rain this afternoon, yesterday was glorious we went walking in just T-shirts and jeans, hopefully that is a sign of things to come !Day off for me today as both of my people are poorly again, my job today is sorting out a service on the boiler our usual plumber is very hard to pin down so I’m trying a new one who will hopefully be more reliable.
Tax return was done and finally finished yesterday so that’s a good job out of the way, and my wardrobes are finished and looking very organised, I also sorted the clothes in the chest of drawers which are now practically empty, dd did some of hers too so we have three black bags to go to the clothes bank.
Dinner tonight will be some minty lamb chops with mash and veg, I have put a wash on this morning which will have to be dried indoors if the rain comes.
Have good days all and take care xx9 -
Morning! I'm being bashed all at once with bills again, the car tax came this morning, the surveyor sent an invoice Saturday night, I feel like I might as well put my money in a bucket by the front door with a free sign on it...Could be worse though eh? Plans today are start a new routine, which involves daily Italian, and tonight I'm off out to a local gardening society talk. They're a bit lax on information, like when or where, I had to private message them to find anything out. I think they need a bit more information available on the internet. They have an instagram and a facebook page but neither seem to be regularly updated. We'll see how tonight goes, as long as there's a cup of tea, it can't be terrible
Looking grey and dull out there but that won't stop me from getting in the garden again..I have missed a pottering...
Izzy, what beautiful countryside you have around you, getting the steps in must be very satisfying looking at that! Coxy, you're definitely going to yours in! I had to google where and to you're going, oh my god, well done for even thinking about it let alone doing it. Gers, same, I wing an absolutely delicious soup but can never replicate it exactly, each subsequent soup is nice though still..Chrisca, happy official first day of early waking for a while despite not wanting toTake care all, whatever your weather

Hello everyone I'm last again!
It was wild and windy here all day yesterday and little one and I weren't out again after we came home from my mam and dads. I introduced her to The Wizard of Oz which she enjoyed, but was confused by the black and white at the beginning - 'so did people only wear black and white clothes?' 'Was the grass black or white?' Oh, the questions!
She also spent a large part of the afternoon writing her book about London! She's got pictures drawn on the top half of each page and an explanation under each picture. We made a lovely lasagne for tea, I'm sure it was my best ever, just like your soup Gers. I've just had some more for my tea.
She stayed overnight, so her mummy could have a lie in... her alarm went off sometime during the night, but I have no idea what time it was. She was in my bed when I woke up this morning. We went into town to the library and read quite a lot of books, chose some to bring home and did some Easter crafts. DD picked her up to go to the Metrocentre with friends and I met my mam for lunch and then had a mooch round the charity shops. Bought a pair of summer trousers and a top and then went into the Card Factory where I got a few packs of wrapping paper reduced by loads. Hurried up the street to catch a bus and was waiting for an hour as there had been a crash just outside of town and all the traffic had been stopped, eventually got home bursting for a pee! I was so pleased I hadn't had little one waiting with me.
Going to get washed up, somehow it's almost 7pm already. Little one will arrive back again about 7.30 in the morning on DD's way to work, only two more days and then she'll be off until next week. The weather is meant to be awful tomorrow so it will be a day at home - more crafts I expect!
Hope everyone has had a good day x10
