For my info - not 100% pertaining to the OP.

Does new style JSA provide the claimant with NI credits?  If so does this allow such sessional employment to claim JSA every year?

Yes provides class 1 NI conts.

Some people who do seasonal or contract period work, do claim NS JSA if they finish employment and are seeking new employment.  But is not very common to do so, as UC may be better option depending on household circumstances and many people in these types of employment seek alternative employment to continue on from when they need it.
The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums. If you have a problem with any organisation, enter into their official complaints process at the earliest opportunity, as sometimes complaints have to be started within a certain time frame.

Possibly.  They need to continue to meet the contributions conditions which require being employed and earning enough for at least half the year.
