Lightning cable > usbc converter for ipad output

I have just starting seeing a new music tutor. I have some music on my ipad (which is usbc)
In his music room to play music over his speakers he has a cable that has lightening plug at the end
Will any basic lightening to USBC adaptor work eg this or do i have to get a specific type?

If you are not trying to use the cable for charging but simply data transfer (ie playing music) any old adapter will do.
Things that are differerent: draw & drawer, brought & bought, loose & lose, dose & does, payed & paid0
