CTF child trust fund alternatives for expats

We opened a CTF when we lived in UK, but then moved away.  It seems to me we are stuck with a disgraceful 0.035% until child reaches 18, because an ISA isn't allowed

Any ideas?

Who's that with? Does it offer alternative ways to invest that you could switch to e.g., an equity version of a CTF? As you're abroad you'll struggle to open accounts elsewhere.
