Santander - pending payments

I just setup anew payee from Santander current account.  I set a payment of £100 to go to this new payee on 9 April. I  wanted to check that it was set right, but I couldn't find details of this future payment. I messaged Santander, and apparently it is the case that you cannot see future payments set in this way. Though I  know you can see Standing Order future payments due.

The online agent couldn't define whether in fact the payment is set for 9 April. Now I  have to phone them, and no doubt spend a good hour to establish whether or not the blessed payment is actually  live.

It's not great that one can't see a pending payment out of the account.

I'm on a pc, don't know if app is the same, select 'payments and transfers' from horizontal menu at the top then 'view pending transfers and payments' from vertical menu on the left.

For payments set for a future date, I've been able to view them on online banking, but not in the app.

You can get several different answers from customer service staff in most businesses
