Land Registry Deed of Rectification timescales

Does anyone have any advice or has anyone been through anything similar?

It will be a full 12 months next week since my mum accepted an offer on her house and due to issues at the bottom of the chain we are still waiting to exchange/complete.

Apparently there are issues with the deed at the bottom of the chain, which have now been sent to the Land Registry (sent around 22nd February on an expedited service). The bottom of the chain will not complete until the deeds are back from the land registry so we are yet again left in limbo.

Does anyone know how long these things tend to take? Or can anyone offer any advice? This is all crippling my mum financially and emotionally as the house that she is selling will enable her to buy a place of her own, which is something that she desperately needs to do. I am really worried about the effect that it is all having on her.

A lot will depend on what the 'issue' is with the deeds, and whether whatever has been sent to the LR to resolve the issue, satisfies them.
They would normally look at an expedited application in a couple of weeks, but much depends on the content of the application.
