Do you know if this drain is connected to the main sewer or does it discharge in to a soakaway ?
If the latter, you can not put grey water from a kitchen in to a soakaway.
Grey water should not be discharged into rainwater gulleys even if it is connected to a drainage system.
Should be discharged into a sewer.
They should be altering the current sink waste to the new position

I bought this semi detached bungalow in March 2021, by November 2021  I discovered the floors were rotten and needed replacing.

To do this I had to have the shower removed in its entirety.  The 2002 bathroom floor 'extension' with the bath/toilet/sink is concrete - the vendor had had the  shower installed when she purchased in 2012 on the original suspended floor.

When it was removed, the plumber told me that the gray water had been directed to the rainwater gulley at the front of the bungalow, rather than through the concrete floor to the sewer.

I've had my gutters/soffits replaced, and the builder told me the rainwater gulley was blocked, a new pipe has been attached so it can drain into my neighbour's lawn.

It is a surface water drain, but it does connect to the main sewers (where our soil pipe) goes. Is what you are saying they shouldn't connect to the gutter drain even it does go.to.the main sewers ?
