Emergency Assist, also trading as 2Gether ins

Also under the guise 2Gether insurance and probably more
**I have since sent a video to prove it’s not my battery (lights on etc) the breakdown co think it’s an electrical drain** Disgusting to leave me stranded in an empty multi storey car park an hour from my home**
I arrived home from holiday Friday after a long haul flight, very tired
My car did not start, I called this company
My policy could not be found for ages
Spoke to Damien (surly and rude)
He straight away said as I had had a call out in the last 60 days I had to pay up front before any further assistance, it was the 5th of January which is more than 60 days and have replaced the battery after that, brand new battery
He went on to say, even if I paid (up to £324) upfront that I only had a choice of
(A) someone to come out OR (B) taken to the nearest garage. Not both as in my policy and if unrelated would be reimbursed
I explained, I was freezing cold, nearly 70 years old in a multi storey car park, broken down completely alone and scared and he did not give a damn! I also have a heart problem and nearly collapsed as my blood pressure rocketed
I am disgusted at his flat, unhelpful, uncaring tone. No Customer Service skills whatsoever, quite shocking really. I did not have a coat and was shaking
I got help from a lovely couple who happened by and he managed to get my car started and I finally got home. Called them out finally on Saturday and attended but charged through the roof, I wasn’t thinking straight and paid. Since then they have flatly refused to give me my money back, breakdown sad they charge £50 to £60 for a jump start, I paid £324 (stupidly) they won’t even give me some back after admitting on email that recovery is £125. AVOID AT ALL COSTS, CHEAP BUT USELESS

Sorry but I don't share your experience fo this company. I had a flat battery once, a recovery truck arrived within half an hour and jump started the car. Which Policy did you purchase? If you paid a few £s more you would have unlimited call outs and no excess, so for a total of under £22 for 2Gether Breakdown Insurance, you do not need to be paying them a penny extra. Unless you are no longer in the location when recovery arrives or are calling them out for the same problem that you didn't fix or told them you'd caused the flat battery.... The only requirement I see on my policy is to have a spare wheel or tyre fix goo if I get a flat.Having a coat/ blankets in car in winter is common sense and nothing to do with the breakdown company.0

I have had a terrible experience with 2gether.My wife and 2 kids had a tyre blowout in motorway on Monday. Was on hold for 80 minutes only to be told by a rude call handler as it’s a day camper it is not valid and the insurance is voided.I have checked the policy and can not see this mentioned at all. Any advice please? I did email them asking to show me where it states it’s not covered and surprise surprise I’ve been ignored.
help please I’m now £500 out of pocket due to emergency tyre fitter call out0
