I've had an on going issue which Carshop in Wakefield have been dealing with for a while now, they just keep messing things up. During the time they've been dealing with my issue they're one of the stores who have been taken over by Sytner. They're now telling us that they can't deal with our issue any longer and that they've passed our issue onto the nearest carshop store. Can they do this? The nearest one means us travelling at least 40 mile. Can anyone advise what we can do?

CarShop in Wakefield have now rebranded as Sytner Select. Remaining as part of the Sytner Group, any existing CarShop Wakefield customers are still welcome to have all their aftersales needs catered for at this location.

I would speak to them again, although that information is on the Carshop website not the Sytner one. Although it is not clear what exactly aftersales includes, but it probably does not include ongoing maintanance. What do Carshop say?

What is the ongoing and unresolved issue, how long has it been ongoing for and how long has it been since that specific Carshop closed?

Depends on the legal entity you were in contract with (will be on the invoice) and what has legally happened with the "store" that has been taken over.  Could be they have just sold the building to Sytner and so they'd be correct in that you need to continue dealing with Carhop and whichever branch its convenient.

We bought the car from the Manchester store but the Wakefield store agreed to see to our issues as it was closer for us, we live in Wakefield. We needed a new wing mirror and the Wakefield store replaced it for us but there is a new issue with the wing mirror they ordered and fitted. They've now sent all details to Manchester and told us they Will deal with it but it was Wakefield who replaced the wing mirror. This has been on going for about 6 weeks now before they were taken over.
