APCOA fine

I have received an parking notice from APCOA, on the day I was going into London with my kids for and appointment, and with the rush for the train, I could only do the payment on the train. Once I got on the train, I added the car I was driving and selected the session I needed and added my card details (as this was I new card I need to approve in my app which I did) and so to me the payment had gone through and parking session sorted. However, after getting the letter I see that no payment was taking from my account. Is it worth appealing? And if unsuccessful would I need to pay the full cost?
The letter says if I pay within 14days it'll be a £60 payment otherwise it's a fine of £100

You do not have a fine.
Is it a penalty notice or 'parking charge'?
But you can't lose as long as you DON'T say who was driving! Read any APCOA thread...PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

It's a penalty notice, how do I go about the appeal without mentioning who was driving. Excuse my ignorance, it's my first time getting a notice.0

Have you read the Newbies/FAQ thread yet? Everything you are asking is already in that thread. Please read and digest it.1

APOCA Penalty Notices time out for any recovery action after six months. You won't be paying anything.fadenon said:It's a penalty notice, how do I go about the appeal without mentioning who was driving. Excuse my ignorance, it's my first time getting a notice.
The Newbies thread guides you through the process to beat APOCA. They're a light touch non-litigious PPC and exceptionally lazy. You'll easily beat them.2 -
As I said, read any APCOA thread. Dead easy. No need for us to repeat anything as there are shedloads of threads with the appeal wording. Nobody has paid.fadenon said:It's a penalty notice, how do I go about the appeal without mentioning who was driving. Excuse my ignorance, it's my first time getting a notice.
