Is there a away of eliminating this odour ?

Behind the cushions there's dog hair. I tried vacuuming it up. But some doesn't get suckdd up.  Anyone know any other ways of doing it ?

How about trying some bicarbonate of soda sprinkled on it and leaving it for a while...then hovering it up?

I’ve used bicarb to get smells off a dog coat, but I had to leave it in a bag with the bicarb for quite a long time. Really can’t see it working on a couch.
Other options are Febreze type spray stuff or hiring an upholstery cleaner.

Pedant alert - it's could have, not could of.

I wouldn't have bought a second hand couch from dog / pet owners (or smokers) - the odour may be impossible to get rid of.

Are any of the covers removable for washing? To get rid of the hair could you try tape / lint rollers?

You could try one of those Rug Doctor type machines or there are usually local companies who do upholstery cleaning - ask on your local social media sites. I've  seen them cleaning suites in the Heart Foundation shop with the machines and they seem to remove the smell quite successfully.
  • Hi you could use Nuetradol powder which is for carpets and soft furnishings
it’s not too expensive and it’s really effective
    good luck

Take all the cushion covers off, and wash them. Air all the cushions for a very long time. You never know, it might help!
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?
