Change to Offers on EBay

Have EBay changed the rules about making offers meaning you have to pay immediately if your offer is accepted?

This applies to items that are collection only that otherwise you may pay cash for even if you pick up the item in person.

There’s a long thread about this already, if I can find it I’ll merge with this one.

However, yes there is a trial for some sellers, some buyers and some categories where if you get an offer accepted, or you accept an offer that it is paid immediately. 

It does apply to collection items as well as there is no need any longer for sellers to worry about the PayPal on collection scam.
