NS&I 3 year bond death

I just wondered if anyone here had to deal with a deceased estate that contained NS&I fix term bonds, say three years
I presume once probate has been obtained then NS&I will release the money including interest and one won't have to wait until the end of the three year term?
I'm not there yet, I'm just asking in advance
Thanks

Yes, with the vast majority of fixed term bonds death of the account holder is the once thing that will it to be paid out before the end of the term without penalty.0
