Energy Switching...or trying to

I have been waiting on British Gas to confirm my switch to them.  After a month I lost patience and due to the fact there are NO addresses, numbers etc to contact them about its status, I had to revert to social media ie X.  Got someone, very concerned, but then went on to say that there were two MPANs at my address, and they couldnt progress further.  I have solar panels installed, which also has its own MPAN, could this be the problem.  I cannot get anything out of British Gas at all.  "Switch they said"  "its simple they said"  Trying to get info out of my existing supplier is like pulling teeth tbh.
