Hi, I’ve recently received a DCB claim form regarding parking fines/tickets. Was just wondering if there’s anything I can do before just paying? Thanks

Read the newbees thread.

You can defend the claim.1

You've not received a "fine". Only a fool and their money pays a claim brought through DCB Legal if they've read the Newbies/FAQ thread.0

With an "Issue date" of 21st March, you have until 9th April to submit your AoS. Having done that, you now have until 4pm on Tuesday 23rd April to submit your defence.
Use the standard template defence and follow the 12 point checklist in that thread. The CEL v Chan preliminary matter is of no use as the breach of terms is stated.2 -
What is a loading bay for, if not for stopping? Why do they say you were causing an obstruction? Do you work there?

If your username is close to your name you must change it.Could the link to newbies thread also be posted pls?But I went to the citizens advice bureau when I was completing the AOS, before I posted on here, and we ended up calling DCB asking for evidence that it was actually my car that was parked there and that a ticket was issued. Was this a bad decision?0 -
