Advice on cleaning please.

What's the best way to clean Tarmac, so its all nearly the same color ?

No oil on it just faded with the sun, where the car hasnt been parked.

    Tarmac paint. I had a neighbour who painted his tarmac every year!
    Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.

    I don't think tarmac really fades in the sun. It's more that when it was first laid there was a layer of black tar asphalt covering the surface. Over time this wears off, so the embedded aggregate (stones) is exposed at the surface. You then see the colour of the aggregate instead of the black of the asphalt/tar. It's possible the surface is dirty, but you won't restore the colour back to the original by cleaning or abrading the surface, you'll just see the colour of the clean aggregate.

    As weird as it sounds, the "tarmac paint" is probably the only way you'll restore a "new tarmac" black look. I'm not sure why you'd want to do that, though. As long as it's in good condition and not breaking up, I'd just sweep it occasionally and get on with doing something more useful!
