What is the Issue Date on your Claim Form?

Upon what date did you file an Acknowledgment of Service?
Your MCOL Claim History will have the definitive answer to that.
You have a very limited time to file a Defence.

The issue date was 20 May 2024. And i filed AOS on 31st May. I filed my defence on 18th June.

I just logged on to the MCOL website and it says my defence was submitted on
19/06/2024, which is 3 days before the deadline and it was logged one day after my email. That's good news.

The auto response shows that it was received by the CNBC, but doesn't prove that it was recorded by them , so good but no cigar.  Check your MCOL claim history to see if its been recorded too

Then study the 12 steps so you know what happens next
  • You were super quick to respond then and beat me to it! I edited my post because I went to look on MCOL and its been filed.

I'll follow the next steps and see where we get to.
  • Hi folks - Just to drag this back up.... According to MCOL my defence was received on 19/06/2024.

I've heard nothing since, do they have a limited amount of time to continue to the next step?

If 'Defence received' is the latest entry on the MCOL Claim History, you have nothing to worry about.
HMC&TS are snowed under at the moment. Could well be a some time yet.

Copy and paste your MCOL claim history below

Seems to have stalled, maybe they have overlooked their next step, but don't poke them awake

Looks like DCB Legal are so busy they overlooked it !

You should have been told that its a defended claim, the Claimants lawyers DCB legal would have sent you a letter and their N180 ( as seen in the 12 steps in the defence template thread. )

Looks like none of that happened

I thought that might be the case. Haven't had any more letters or the Directions Questionnaire - is this sent through the post? And would that action be noted on the MCOL site?
