VLS60 Income distribution

I'm sorry for trying to help. Why do you think there is anything, "smart" to do? Does VLS60 no longer meet your investment objectives?

The smart person understands what they are investing in before owning it. They will be well aware that the income class of a fund like this pays out regular dividends and will be unfazed by this. They certainly wouldn't sell just before it goes XD to buy back just afterwards unless they needed to transform income into capital gain.

If they buy back the same fund within 30 days, they are deemed to have not made the sale. If they buy another equivalent fund and sell it before the next dividend, there will be no Equalisation. HMRC is not likely to be amused if they reduce your tax bill by doing this repeatedly, however. I would suggest taking professional advice before embarking on that course of action.
