Amazon and their delivery

This is not so much an vent its querying how accurate amazon delivery systme is ?

a few months ago a driver knocked at my door with a parcel from amazon.

it was my address but another persons name ????

i thought it was kind of a one off untill when in the post office today someone was handing a large box over the counter where again it was that person address but somebodys elses name ?

so how does this happen when people type in their own name and address on the web ?

anybody else had deliverys not for them ?

How can you enter your own name wrong, surely amazon just print off the name and address on a label

You can ask Amazon to deliver to any address - it doesn't have to be the one the credit card is listed at. I've sent parcels to people as gifts - Amazon will even wrap them nicely for you though since that costs extra I don't bother!
