RM Tacked 24 and 48. Wasn't the price supposed to reduce today?

they've gone up not down. I would be questioning the accuracy of that message you have from ebay

Just to point out that the Post Office I visited yesterday (in a medium size town inside WHS) could not offer over the counter Tracked 24 and 48 services as their system had not been updated.

Their system had been updated to reflect the increase in prices though...

I expect it is easier to do an increase in cost as it happens at least once a year, but possibly not easy to add an entirely different service. However, I also suspect some POs if they are anything like my local Crown one, have no idea about postage at all, and care even less. Mine still tell people that signed for is quicker than standard , and also that standard has no compensation for loss or damage. Mine don’t even realise my online postage is cheaper than their over the counter prices and still occasionally tell me it would be cheaper and easier for me to use their automatic machines rather than do mine at home and have to queue up. I have been to,d several times that the cost of items cannot vary between RM and them, it is impossible.

The "24" and "48" monickers should be dropped, as they're not genuinely 24 and 48 hour services.

If (between RM & The Post Office) you're not 100% sure that you can roll out a new service, don't say you can.

    source?

    still says £150.00 here: https://www.royalmail.com/sites/royalmail.com/files/2024-03/online-price-guide-april-2024-v1-ta.pdf

i'm still a bit miffed that the ebay information still says the service price is reducing, reduction of compensation would be worse.

edit. also just gone through the purchase process on the RM website and it says £150.00

I sent quite a few RM48 today (only 20p more than a standard parcel on ebay) and I'm still seeing this on ebay if I go to buy RM48 now
