Airport parking, with and without hotel booking

I need to book a hotel at the airport for the night before I fly. If I book just the hotel it is almost twice the price as if I book the hotel and parking for one week. I can see nothing in the terms and conditions that speak to being obligated to actually use the parking. Both options are offered through Holiday Extras. What is to stop me booking the hotel and parking but only using the hotel?

I can't help with your specific query but I did notice this myself - I booked a night at Holiday Inn Gatwick Worth  (also through Holiday Extras) with 8 days parking and with a discount it cost about £100. A room at the hotel cost £110! In my case I wanted the parking.

Interesting question.  Assuming you do have a car, put that registration in.  If the lack of a car is questioned you could claim you had a puncture/breakdown and had to get a lift.  The worst that can happen is they charge you the standard rate.

Thanks for the comments. Just to put this into perspective, without parking the Hilton Garden is just shy of £400 / night at Birmingham airport. With parking it is £208!. Its totally nuts.

When are you looking to stay? Looking at a random date in June its £99 a night direct with Hilton

Btw, if you aren't doing it already do look up discount codes for Holiday Extras. I got 15% discount and I believe you can sometimes get 20%

The date is specific May17th. Thanks for feedback. I just find the whole pricing strategy illogical.
