Crepe Silk - Silk Crepe

Just as the title says, as I've been looking online, sometimes I see silk crepe and sometimes crepe silk, so my question is, is there a difference or just how it's written?

Its just a personal preference, if you were to suffix it with fabric (or ribbon etc) both words would be an adjective so can be ordered either way...

You could say "worsted wool fabric" or "wool worsted fabric", though I prefer the former slightly. If you drop the "fabric" though "worsted wool" sounds fine but "wool worsted" sounds wrong but then worsting is a verb which is probably why it doesn't work as a noun. Substitute "twill" for "worsted" and they sound fine in both scenarios in either order.

Personally would call it Silk Crepe but it's just a preference and looking at one fabric store they use both within the same category.
