Now back with a coffee.
It's fine and sunny, whoo hoo!
We are now home from staying in Weardale for a couple of nights with our 2 youngest gc's.
We've had a lovely weekend with them, even though it rained yesterday. Dd and partner returned yesterday afternoon after a nice weekend celebrating a family occasion with d d's partner's family.
I'm meeting a friend this morning, haven't seen her since before Christmas so there'll be plenty to talk about.
I seem to have loads to do in the house, must get myself organised.
Hope everyone is all right and has a good day, take care folks12 -
Morning All
Back from what was a very difficult weekend, Auntie is not as good as she makes out and her DD (who lives round the corner) doesn't bother with her. I did see her son so will have to phone him to give him my thoughts. Sunday was spent cleaning out drawers and the fridge but we did have a lovely roast dinner. Her DD turned up, saw me and walked out again, I take it I'm off her Christmas card list!
Anyway, I was awake very early yesterday so left there at 4.30am and was home by 10, the roads were lovely and quiet! Washing has been done and mostly dried outside yesterday so I have that to put away, the couple of bits of ironing have been done.
Must go and do some shopping this morning and a trip to the allotment would be a good idea, always clears my head and the fresh air would be very welcome.
Hope you all had a good Easter weekend. Take care. XX11 -
Good morning all
Another first, my first Easter alone. I did manage a couple of walks.
Take careIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.13 -
Morning all - thanks for starting us off @Scarlet. It's lovely to read that you had a great weekend.@Camelot - what a shame for your beloved Auntie, I bet she enjoyed the roast dinner. This morning is rather dull still, I really miss the light coming in early though I know it'll creep back soon. Yesterday I wrapped and packed some unwanted household goods to take to the CS. Dinner plates and bowls which I don't use and are taking up space. The bowls are brand new
I bought the wrong size and can't now send them back so someone will benefit. I've also cleared out some towels, two unmatched ones to the CS, one in the washing machine as it looks to have a large stain on, if it washes out I will keep it. And one old bathmat to go to the rags bags.
Today I have an appointment later and then will spend time doing the monthly banking, last month of the financial year before I start the new spreadsheets. They are all sparkling and ready to go.I hope that everyone has a lovely day. Walking, gardening, baking, cooking, socialising, resting and even slothing, it's all worthwhile.11 -
Morning all. Dry here so far.
I'm off in a minute to do a morning's childcare for the DGSs so will be worn out after that.
Yesterday we got quite a few bits done and even pulled the sofa out to hoover all the debris underneath. It's a heavy sofa and needs 2 of us to move.
Camelot: that sounds like a difficult situation. hope it can be resolved.12 -
Morning folks and thanks SCARLET. Glorious sunrise here when I got up but the sun has now disappeared behind cloud. Small mercies, it's not forecast to rain!
Not a lot going on over Easter here, just the same old same old. This morning I am due to meet DF for lunch but am waiting with bated breath to see if it happens! She is going to let me know what frame of mind her OH is in when he gets up. This is nothing new with him, it's been going on for years, despite being on medication for his anxiety and depression. I have lost count of the number of things she has had to cancel over the years thanks to his mood swings.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for all in need. CAMELOT poor Auntie to have such an unfeeling DD, she doesn't sound to have improved since you first mentioned her. Take care all, be safe xx

Morning all
Lovely day here so far but rain due again this evening 🙄 I have had all of my people cancel today as they are all poorly it’s either too much chocolate 😂 or can’t be bothered to come after the long weekend I think ! Still it’s good for me an extra day off and paid so makes no difference !
Im going to take mum out for a few hours she wants to go to the butchers and hobby craft which will both be dangerous on her purse 😬 I will also see if she wants to go to the fish van on the seafront she loves fish and it’s all freshly caught.
Dinner tonight will be left over roast from last night I sent mum home with an extra one too so nice and easy for dinner, dd is working late so will eat at work.
Goimg to tidy through downstairs and hoover and mop and then go out with mum.
Camelot sorry to hear your aunt was not so good and what a shame her children don’t bother much xx
Have good days all and take care xx9
