I would always prefer to keep my own vehicle rather than a Motability one, because if the enhanced rate goes, so does the car.  Ironically, I can barely walk but do not qualify for enhanced mobility.  My daughter, because she struggles to navigate situations, is entitled.
Which is really the wrong way round.
If you struggle to navigate, how do you drive anywhere. 🤷‍♀️
What makes you think that the daughter drives? Not everyone drives. There's 2 parts to Motability, moving around for physical conditions and following and planning a journey for mental health, cognitive and sensory issues. Your ability to drive a vehicle has nothing to do with the mobility part.

If I decided to go for a Motability car, my Suzuki would currently achieve £7000 from WeBuyAnyCar – but I would then lose £280 income per month from PIP.

     car tax is £35 –

You won't lose it because of the £7,000. Though you would trade in the mobility allowance for a vehicle so yes you would receive the money as well but then you would have a new car.

You need Enhanced mobility PIP to join the scheme. Just checking this because you mention £35 car tax for your current vehicle but you're entitled to free road tax with Enhanced mobility.

Up until now I haven't bothered with the free road tax due to it being a pain in the neck to obtain.
I do get enhanced mobility and care for 10 years

    What the Fxxx.
    Its not hard to get.
One trip to the post office.
Then next year you just do it online, 3 minute job.

    Our car is only £35 a year for road tax.2016 -2023 + 2024 rise 6 x £30 + £35 = £215 saved with one trip to post office.

But you get more benefits if tax class is disabled, Dartford crossing free.
M6 toll road, £7 for the year, £8.40 each way if not.
london congestion charge free, £10 fee to register.
If you keep renewing when blue badge runs out you do not pay again.

Because our post office is a pain in the neck to get to, 12 miles + away and parking is well nigh impossible anywhere within 1/2 mile and I AM IMMOBILE !!!
They ought to allow disabled people to do this on-line

That makes more sense, Maybe on a trip out you might find a more accessible post office.
Or get a friend to take the paperwork into a post office for you.
I did it for the wife, so can’t see why someone could not do it for you.
    Here are the tolls etc.

Thanks but the only one that may be worth using is the M5 toll concession
And that apparently can be based on PIP Mobility rather than the vehicle

I would stick with the Suzuki if you are only doing 2000 miles a year. You are still entitled to free car tax for that vehicle. Also there is the possibility of your Motability car being returned if your PIP is reassessed not in your favour, it does happen.

My PIP is on a long term basis - 10 years (8 remaining)
