Accumulation unit - Switches and CGT

I would like to switch my holding from accumulation and income units.

On the Vanguard account there is a switch option, but with further research I understand this is a sell and buy and will trigger a CGT event.

I understand that some providers do offer a genuine switch.

My question is can I do a partial transfer from a general vanguard account into another provider so I can do such a switch?  If so, who offers this option?

I've heard of DIY providers offering switches between different unit classes when transferring in holdings that they do not offer, but not between Acc to Inc when they offer both on their platform.

I understand that, as long as it doesn't go through 'money In your account' I.e. you don't get the proceeds of the sale, it doesn't  trigger a capital gains tax calculation. I don't know if that applies to Vanguard.

I did it with Fidelity, but that was quite a while ago. I suggest you give them a call.
