Which Region is mine for Octopus Energy?
I'm on a fixed tariff and I just want to take note of what the variable Octopus rates will be from 1st April.
I've found a pdf from Octopus that gives rates for various Regions and mine must be either 'Southern' or 'Southern Wester' (the remainder of that last word is cut off in the pdf).
My bills say my electricity is supplied by Western Power Distribution but says nothing about Gas.
I live in East Devon. Which of those two regions is mine and why is this so difficult?

try entering your postcode here: https://gcccc4f6c5ed303-stjqaiwj9fvoaef2.adb.uk-london-1.oraclecloudapps.com/ords/r/gastracker2024/gas-tracker/postcode
the energy regions are different to both administrative and postal regions, just to be confusing!1 -
Thank you. It says I'm in Region L - South Western England, which isn't a Region listed in the Octopus pdf.amanda1024 said:try entering your postcode here: https://gcccc4f6c5ed303-stjqaiwj9fvoaef2.adb.uk-london-1.oraclecloudapps.com/ords/r/gastracker2024/gas-tracker/postcode

Presumably it's what they mean' by Southern Wester'.

Yes, for Devon it'll be South Western area. Or Southern Western as they seem to call it, very strange!!! 😁JohnB47 said:

The old SWEB area (South Western Electricity Board).PPI success. Banding success. Double Dip PCN cancelled! South facing solar (Midlands) and battery. Savings Session supporter (is it worth it now!?)2 -
Your DNO is Nation Grid, South West Region, since they merged with WPD.JohnB47 said:I'm on a fixed tariff and I just want to take note of what the variable Octopus rates will be from 1st April.

Try region 22 - South Western England - old SWEB ?The MPAN code normally appears on the bills - although EOn dont display the bottom line split as shown - but the first 2 digits are still the region code.
Still shows as Western Power Distribution on Wiki but happy to bow to @Netexporter updated info
