unless it is faulty the store can make up their own policy. they don't have to refund, exchange, or give a credit note. The receipt is from the 10th Oct, thats what you get for shopping early, supose the best thing to do is make sure you get on that 28 day window.0

Did you not take it back with the receipt. If you buy stuff early in argos for xmas ask them to write xmas gift on the receipt they will refund it after xmas with the receipt I have done this with no problem0
