    A friend of mine had similar - the police weren’t a massive amount of help and in the end he took the seller to court (and won). 
    He’s being repaid £50 per month by the seller. 
    And how many years before your friend gets his money back?
    If you are querying your Council Tax band would you please state whether you are in England, Scotland or Wales

    Never, because the seller will only pay for a few months before disappearing.
    If it sticks, force it.
    If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.

    Still a few years to go yet - from memory the court case was just before COVID. 
    To be fair they’ve not missed a payment, but given it was a fairly large sum of money it’s a bit of a pee-take that they got away with £50 per month.

    Incorrect - currently a good few years in and still going!
