NatWest, Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS) and Ulster Bank, which are all part of the NatWest Group, will shut at least 79 of their bank branches in 2024, after the Group announced a further 47 closures today.

Of course it's worth mentioning that if your NatWest branch is closing and you want to find a bank with a branch close to you, First Direct will be about as much use for that as a colander is to carry water.Also worth mentioning, Nationwide's extended its branch promise to the end of 2027. It's not perfect but if you value having a local branch it's worth considering.1
