My mother and I have a joint account (money in old Hi5 account Investec).

My mother and I have a joint account (money in old Hi5 account Investec).
It has around £75,000 in there and I’m wondering where best to put the money? I’m stuck in a bit of a predicament as I’ll be due to buy a house soon with some of that money.. (hopefully writing the next 9-10 months).
Is it worth putting this into an ISA or another type of account- if so what options are best, taking into consideration I may need access to some of this money in the best future… Please excuse me as I’m new this and at the moment, not very clued on as my sister used to deal with finances.

Can you give more detail? Is it a savings account ? If so what is the interest rate? Can you access it at any time ?

It's an old Investec account that paid the average rate of the top 5 rates on MoneyFacts. It was quite good in its day. I thought they had closed them all a few years agoBut it's just a savings account0
