Sold my car - dealer hasn't paid finance HELP

I've sold my car through motorway.co.uk (absolutely useless by the way) the dealer collected the car on 24th February to date still has not cleared my outstanding finance. Dealer States that it has been paid on more than one occasion- yet the finance company have confirmed it hasn't. Dealer seems to have now stopped contact.
I've provided a breach of contract which has now expired. Is my only choice now continue with solicitors and a claim? Is there anyone else that can help?

Could it be they are waiting till the last day of the settlement date before paying?

The settlement has expired since the car was collected. I've already had to request an updated one and make an additional payment.

 Dealer States that it has been paid on more than one occasion-

Get them to provide proof of this & then you can chase finance co.

Wonder if they have not used the correct reference & it's sat @ finance co end, as they do not know which account to pass it to.
