  • Thank you to everyone for your help! This has really cleared things up. A lot of useful advice and I appreciate everyone remaining polite and respectful as I was nervous posting.

    Just FYI my wife earned her license in her home country. She is from a country that the UK allows people to exchange their license for a UK one. Therefore she has a UK license without having taken a UK test, hence her nervousness.

    As has been suggested, your wife would probably benefit from a few lessons with a driving instructor to gain her confidence.
