I dont want to get into politics but as a retailer the voting public will never realise how much pulling out of the EU market has hurt us.its just not viable to sell to EU consumers any more. A lot of these fashion brands that are on tghe higher end of the market, they need a large market to sell to. Because they are targeting middle income and upper middle income demographic to sell to.EU customers no longer order from UK businesses because of trade boundraiews and customs charges for them.
Did you ever buy something from outside the UK for say £40 and then DPD want you to pay £5 customs VAT and £12 processing fees? Did you ever vow never to buy from the US again because the fees made it more expensive for you ? Well every EU person feels the same way about buying from UK stores.1 -

I've also generally avoided buying from the EU for similar reasons (although shipping is not nearly as eye-watering) both pre and post Brexit.
I've actually ordered more post Brexit than pre, and most popular retailers seem to be set up to pay UK duty on my behalf so it's generally been painless. Although I still don't like the idea of returning faulty goods to another country.0 -

It's not even a British company any more, what was left of the failing company was bought up by New York company ABG some years ago.0
