Good morning, would you believe it, it's raining here, as it did yesterday.
So depressing, all this rain.
Glad you managed the bereavement café Silver Oldie, I hope it helps a bit.
Yesterday was ok, visited my elderly friend, did some shopping, tidied up
Same old same old really.
I need to go to a nearby shopping centre today for dgs's birthday present, his birthday is on Thursday. We'll go to the quiz tonight as well.
Hope everyone has a good day, take care folks.

Morning All
Thanks for the start Scarlet, enjoy the quiz.
Not raining here at the moment, it could go either way! Lots of rain yesterday that kept the children inside, apart from the fire drill!
Met an ex colleague after work for coffee and a chat which was very enjoyable, also met some other workmates there so quite a gathering.
Not long to go now Chrisca!
Glad you went to the cafe SO, next time will be easier.
How are you doing Nanny?
Lots to do at work before the end of term which is also the end of the financial year so everyone is panicking!
Have a good day, take care. XX9 -
Morning folks and thanks Scarlet. After a day of rain yesterday this morning it is fine. And no rain forecast until later this afternoon. This wet winter weather is endless.
Meeting DF for a leisurely lunch as usual (unless she cancels!!) Back to our usual haunt today, we are saving the lovely place for the occasional treat! But anywhere is a treat if it saves me cooking! Being school holidays we are hoping it won't be too busy.
Have a good day folks if you can and ((HUGS)) for our poorlies, poorly loved ones, sad or lonely. Well done SILVER, I hope it helped. NAN keep on taking it easy. Take care one and all and stay safe xx

Morning all
Not raining here for now but it’s due to rain from 10 onwards and for the rest of the day, I am finding it increasingly hard to entertain people in the wet weather today it’s going to have to be bowling or cinema or stay in and do craft stuff / film at home, I’m still not sleeping I saw every hour up to 3 this morning so I have no energy either 😩 I’m going to phone the Dr back today.
The lady from the scheme is coming at 10.30 to see one of the clients and then we can decide what we want to do, I need to run the hoover round this morning but everything is fairly tidy.
Dinner tonight will be something with mince either a spag Bol or chilli I need to get the mince out of the freezer.
SO glad you went back to the cafe I’m sure it will get easier xx
TA enjoy your lunch xx
Have good days all and take care xx8 -
Good morning all - and what a glorious one it is too. Bright blue sky, fluffly white clouds and a cold cold sun. It's like being offered a gorgeous looking cake then biting in to find it full of potato peelings.
Mind you, it's so much better than yesterday. We're being teased by the weather.
My exercise class yesterday was good even though I still can't balance on my right leg without support, perhaps it'll improve with more time. Happily, I didn't go shopping afterwards.I'm down in Glasgow tomorrow for an optician's appointment so can stock up there, for today I have plenty of soup and will make Marmite soldiers to go with it.
All the family are now on Fraser Island and having a whale of a time. My phone pings with photos and texts at various times during the night. It gives me so much pleasure to see all the young cousins having wonderful times together, here's hoping that the bonds last.Today I have a meeting this afternoon, this was postponed from last week, and shouldn't take long. I'll take my black bag to the dump on the way, it's just past the school.@DP1 - yesterday I read in a paper that 70% of tribunal appeals for PIP are successful so please consider trying further. I understand that it's time-consuming and exhausting, even demoralising, but may be worth it in the long run.@SO - well done on going to the cafe again, it's still all alien to you at the moment so stick in a bit longer please.I hope that everyone is doing well, We seems pretty thin on the ground again, RL gets in the way sometimes. It'd be lovely to see some of the old regulars (and irregulars) posting again.10 -
Morning all, thanks Scarlet, enjoy the quiz.Silver, I was pleased to see you went to the bereavement cafe again, that was very brave. I'm sure it will feel better & you'll get used to some of the faces there, glad everyone was kind.We are having our full fibre installed this morning so I'm typing quick before any disruption/ outages.RR it must be hard when you can't get out with your guests, hope it dries up for you.We are all going watching the England Under 21's football match tonight, hope they win!Right better have a quick tidy and make sure the man can get in the cupboard where the full fibre wires come in!Take care all x:heartsmil 'A woman is like a teabag: You never know her strength until you drop her in hot water'. Morning all. Sunny here today but probably cold out.
DD ended up in A&E last night with what they think is costochondritis. She's been given co-codamol but they make her very drowsy so doesn't want to take them for long. Mother in law is helping out today, as she can't do any lifting, and we will go over tomorrow. An almost 6 month old baby is quite a lot to manage lifting during the day.
We are out for lunch with friends today and will do a bit of forward planning for our trip to Jersey in May. Looking forward to that.
SO; well done for braving the Bereavement Cafe. Hopefully it will get easier over time.
Have a good day everyone.8 -
Morning everyone just got in from one of my cleaning jobs WL I had costochondritis very painful they said mine was caused by the heavy constant lifting at work it’s still niggles a bit if I do to much I have to be careful I wouldn’t like it back again which reminds me not long to go now Chrisca I don’t know where the time has gone since I finished I’ve had to put the washer on I cut my finger on a tin last night and didn’t realise it’s the smallest cut ever but it’s right on the knuckle every time I bend my finger it bleeds before I realised I had blood on the towel my top and two cushions what a numpty . I’m off for. A check up at the dentist soon another bill but I suppose it’s better than toothache. Thinking of all the poorlies hugs to those that need them have a good day everyone whatever you are doing8

Morning! A day of not sure what is going to happen. For the last few days or so I've been feeling very out of sorts. Not ill, but it's like feeling guilty about something or worrying about something or being really unsettled but I have no idea why, I'm not worried about anything, I haven't done anything to feel guilty about but i still feel a bit...odd...So in uncertain times my usual answer is to do something because I can't think when I'm doing..The weather is lovely today [ sorry!] maybe some outside stuff will reset me. We're out tonight to see rhod Gilbert and then I have tomorrow at home and then to Wales for a few days. My sister sounds loads more positive these days, she's been up to something, so I think she's finally ready to start getting some stuff out of the house from my parents. It's nice to see after worrying about her for so long.Scarlet, enjoy the quiz! camelot, I remember end of year panickings, fingers crossed it is nice and smooth for you! TA, have a nice lunch. Ruby, hope it all goes well for you today. Gers, how about weight training, will that help? I'm always impressed when I see the eighty year old body builders..Rosy, happy future super speed internet
WL, your poor DD, it's not fun at all, that. Oh had it a few times, due to his own stupidity once it must be said, but no, lifting and lowering the baby won't help at all...she's lucky you can help. Nan, hope you're improving...is bella still on holiday? Hope topsys son is better too...right, I'm orf to de-think... enjoy your days!

I'm always impressed when I see the eighty year old body builders.I'm doing two exercise classes a week and my physio recommended leg stuff inbetween. Thanks for thinking of me.I've got my front door open wide,at least until the wind picks up. New sign of Spring is the first splat of bird poo on my car. Too early for swallows (thank goodness as they have poo bigger than themselves) but I've moved my car further back from the barn door as there's probably a nest or two in construction.

Hi everyone,
I'm late again today, it's my Esther day and she is napping.
We've had a busy couple of days. On Sunday we went as a whole family to Burghley House to celebrate my birthday, it's 50 minutes away but we all had a great time, there is lots for children to do and we really only scratched the surface of the gardens and didn't go in the house at all.
Yesterday we answered an SOS from Crystal because Nate was unwell and couldn't go to nursery. Unfortunately she wasn't able to get much work done as he was so mummy focussed, it would have been easier is she wasn't working from home. She did manage an important call though while I let him pretend to drive our car. It's very funny seeing him and Esther play, he's all about the cars and tractors she wants to change dolly's nappy, put her to bed and take her out in the buggy, it's obviously an innate thing.
The faily are off to Glasgow for Easter on Thursday, Brian is driving up with Ziggy and Laura is flying with the children. It's so much easier for her, Luton airport is only 40 minutes away and Esben loves flying. although we love them dearly we are looking forward to ten days of peace.
Have a good day.
