No guarantor needed

Son is renting a student property from September, 8 students in the house. The contract is through openrent and states no guarantors.
Is there an issue with this? They've met the landlord in the property with current tenants. It's apparently managed directly by landlord and was advertised on Rightmove. Thanks.

I never needed a guarantor for a student house, granted that was decades ago.1

Lucky you! Being a guarantor is a big financial commitment and risk.

Do you want to guarantee the rent and any damage over and above fair wear and tear of 8 people? I doubt it, so there is no issue.

Sounds like a rental parents of students would like the opportunity to have for their children. Not sure what the problem is?1

Landlord and/or property desperate for new tenants.. probably... would raise red flag for me...
Artful: Landlord since 2000. Had two student lets, now only one )old age), never seen this suggested by agents.
I'd think about proposing lower rent (seriously...)0
