A quickie, I think. When calculating salary cap for SIPP contributions, does statutory sick pay count as salary income?

Sick pay, be it contractual or SSP, if it's paid by an employer is income.

Can I ask a related question please?
When on sick pay from an employer, do pension contributions go out at the same % rate on the full total as if they were being paid salary?
And in the case of salary sacrifice pension and sick pay is it treated any differently? Or is sick pay an earned pay totaled together when checking if an employee is still above minimum wage?
So, if someone was on sick pay for an entire pay period, would the pension deductions look exactly the same as a working salaried pay period?
