Missing Balance Transfer

I'm in need of help and advice.
On the 23rd Feb I started a balance transfer from my new M&S CC to my Natwest CC via the M&S app. I checked my Natwest balance on the 28th but it still haven't been recieved. I called them just to be sure and they knew nothing about it.
I gave M&S a call that same day, the balance had been updated on that account but nowhere else. I raised a missing bank transfer enquiry with them, Long story short it seems when I selected the 'Natwest' account from the selection to make the transfer I then entered my Capital One credit card number in error.
Fast forward to 13th March, I called M&S to ask for an update, only to be told they are still looking into to the missing balance transfer, they have reached out to the vendor but I was informed there is no time limit on this!
Granted I have entered incorrect card details in relation to the correct CC but I can't believe it was allowed to happen, nonetheless iit's now putting a financial strain on me and I'm no further forward while I'm losing the benefit of 9 month interest free credit and have additional 'debt'.
Has anyone had similar experience or can offer me guidance and advice please?

Could the number you gave have related to a Natwest card number so the money has been creditted to someone else's card?0

The funds will be returned back in due course to the originator who themselves has to process the transaction. Just takes time. A surprising number of entries end up in suspense accounts. Each one has to manually resolved. They will be processed in chronological order. There's no automated system once the wrong information gets entered at the outset.1

My issue is I now have an additional £3k debt on top of existing debt which is hitting me hard in the pocket with obviously no idea when this will be resolved.0 -

The transfer would go to Natwest but to the card number you gave, which was not your Natwest card.
That number may not be a Natwest cc number or , by coincidence, it could belong to someone who got the transfer onto his card.0 -
Credit card numbers.are unique. So noone else will have the transfer.1

Unfortunately you made the mistake initially. I understand your frustration but sometimes that's life. The banks concerned will simply be following due process. Always worth double or triple checking what you are entering when conducting important transactions.3
